My Favorite Things - December Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “My Favorite Things.” The Design Team will be showcasing their favorite products from any of the current products and you might even see some sneak peeks, as well! We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Let's be frank!
I spend more time looking through this tool at all the possibilities then I actual craft some weeks.  I find more inspiration and sparks of creativity just from the photos.

If I was going to only save 3 things from my Craft Room other than my stamps, Inks and DSP.  I really think these are the top things I use on every card I make.

1) My trimmer because it's  3 in 1 tool:  It's a ruler, trimmer, and scoring tool.
2) Memento Ink:  Really it's the best coverage black ink out there and we are lucky enough to have it in our catalog.  We can use it to build on itself and it works great with our Stampin' Blends for coloring.
3) The Stamparatus! Baby- I stink at getting my stamped images to stamp evenly and clear.  I sometime will stamp things over and over to get the right imprint of my image that I'm using.   (i.e. my hello on my card is not embossed - I just stamped over and over till I got the layering I wanted)

But we would all agree that our community of stamper is really our most important and favorite Stampin' Up! asset in our Craft rooms.

Well that's all of my random thoughts for this post!

Lori

September Blog Hop - Focus on the Sentiment

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “Sentiment as a focal point.” We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Being a person that believes WORDS Matter!   Of course, I feel the sentiment is one of the whole reasons we're sending out and making these cards.  For some people writing or saying how they feel doesn't always come across clear.  The sentiment allows the receiver to know how the person feels or what they're thinking before they read the inside of the card.   Feelings of gratitude sometimes can make me feel awkward and I always feel like I can never verbal express exactly how much I appreciate what someone has done or how they have touched me with their good deed.

Thank you all for coming to see me today!

*I used my stamparatus and my VersaMark ink to layer with embossing powder on the thanks in this card.  It doesn't show how it give the card dimension  and shine very well.  I enjoyed playing with my blending brushes on the sunflower.

Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on October 13th. Our theme will be Fantastic Fun Folds and 3D Projects when participants showcase fun fold cards or 3D items that will be great for any occasion. Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Happy Halloween

Our family loves Halloween because its all about the fun, no one is expected to over think about anything on this day. Maybe the adults need to worry about overeating on the candy and treats. Honestly, we just love all the holidays.  Our family has always celebrated even the smallest of them.  For me I enjoy all the decorations and the feel of fall. Who doesn't like the changing of the leaves and cooler air.  smells of marshmallows over a fire.  Everyone gets to be a kid again.  We like thinking that we are the cool house on the block because we look forward to giving out full size candy bars (last year we went through 300 candy bars) and seeing all the different kids in their costumes.  It kicks off the holiday season with a bit of Craziness.  With the last name of Webb, its only right this would be my kind of day!

I decided to get a head start on decorating our BOO basket this year!  I know by the end of day tomorrow all that candy is going to be gone!

just a small piece of chocolate wrapped with our always beautiful DSP who wouldn't feel special getting a small treat!  I went with the Frightfully Cute Bundle.  I have already used the dies in this collection so many times.

The new boxes hold way more than you may think.

(mine held 6 nuggets and 3 Lindt chocolate truffles.)

Look forward to sharing with you next month!
